Dehydrators

Heating, processing and refining food knocks the life out of it. Not only are these overcooked foods lacking in nutrients but also of concern is the huge issue of the destruction that occurs in their preparation. When we heat food above 43° Celsius and 115° Fahrenheit we destroy almost all the enzymes (essential for digestion and breaking up foods into smaller nutrients), nearly all the vitamins, and some of the minerals in it. Even steaming food is not as healthy as you might think. The high temperatures that result from steaming means that again you may be destroying the valuable nutrients that were originally stored inside the food in its raw state.

Dried Food

The relatively simple process of preparing food in a dehydrator is beneficial because it warms the foods slightly without destroying the nutrients and give the finished dish the appearance of being cooked. You can produce satisfying, tasty, and enzyme-rich foods for yourself and your family. Dehydrators intensify the flavours of foods by extracting the water from them, they are also an efficient way of drying fruits, such as apples, pineapples, mango, and bananas. You can also easily prepare your own sun-dried tomatoes. These healthy snacks make wonderful little treats, especially for lunch boxes.
