One of the biggest requests I have received from my previous book was a list of the foods that I eat. Some of the following foods I eat regularly because they are rich in Vitamin B-17 (Beta-cyanophoric glycosides) or the generic term nitrilosides. Nitrilosides are food compounds that are said to selectively destroy cancer cells. They are described as an antineoplastic vitamin (a vitamin that prevents or inhibits the growth and development of malignant cells). Studies show that nitrilosides are highly effective in protecting us from disease, Journal of Applied Nutrition. These foods have been called the “missing” link in today's diet. Our ancestors ate copious amounts of these foods in there daily diet, today these foods are almost totally removed from the diet. Fortunately nature has provided us with many common foods, which contained these nitrilosides. They are found in the seed kernels of apricots, apple seeds, pear seeds, bitter almonds, walnuts, pecans, blackberries, gooseberries, cranberries, lentils, sprouts and in great abundance in a variety of vegetables. Wheatgrass millet and buckwheat are also good sources of B-17 vitamin. I myself use large amounts of sprouted seeds in my diet to keep it varied.
