I bought and read this book this week. It was easy to do that because the way the book is written makes you want to keep reading! It manages to be inspiring, motivating, moving and confronting all at the same time!
The book includes some practical ideas that can be acted on easily in everyday life. For anyone who wants more of that they can read “The Choice – The Programme” also written by Bernadette. For those who need stories that they can relate to, this book contains a number of inspiring stories – given the range of stories included, the chances are that each reader will be be able to strongly relate to at least one if not a number of them.
As per the title, this book is really about the mindset that we bring to our well being. Thus, one thing that is good is that the book is realistic – there is a recognition that it is challenging to go this route and a number of the stories show how that played out for the individuals involved. That said, the book is confronting in that while recognising the challenge, it puts it up to the reader to take responsibility and make choices that support their own well being.
So, whether you are starting to explore the role of mindset and nutrition in well being, or you need to be re-energised re your commitment to acting on what you know (as was the case with me!), I would highly recommend this book.

This review is from: The Survivor’s Mindset: Kick-Start Your Health with the Power of Your Mind and Body (Paperback)
This book is a must for anyone who is serious about their health. It explores how our mind can hinder us in following what we know is right. It gives real examples of how to deal with this in many ways. I felt it covered all the angles which was very helpful. The authors stories and other characters are real life and I found them very moving and humbling, as if I was a fly on the wall experiencing with them Really delighted Bohan has written this, I feel motivated now and also feel I am not alone with being a human and all that means. I would advise also getting Bernadette’s other book The Choice The Programme” as the information is talked about in this book. |

Bernadette opened doors with her first book ‘The Choice’ followed by ‘The Programme’. In this latest book she has made it possible for all of us to realise that we can be heal with the correct diet and lifestyle.
Bernadette has conquered her own cancer, after much research, with
determination, motivation and hard work, providing a shining example of how best to approach these difficult problems. Personal experience is a great teacher, and Bernadette invites us all to share her knowledge on this subject. In my eyes, this woman is a compassionate, gentle, and loving lady who is always there to provide help and advice.
Anyone who wishes to solve a problem, which appears to be beyond help, or to just avoid the problem in the first place (an even better approach), Should read this
