My Favourite Green Juice

Kale is packed with chlorophyll and consuming foods that are rich in chlorophyll is important if you want to look and feel younger. Ginger is great aid for digestive problems. Cucumbers hydrate and clean the body. This green juice helps to clean out the intestines and remove harmful waste from the colon.

Serves 1–2
‘This is a powerful cleansing and healing juice. I use it on a regular basis.’

What you need:

1 Cucumber

2 Celery Stalks

A handful of kale ( or spinach if out of season)

1 lemon

1 small chunk of ginger

Optional: handful of sprouted seeds such as alfalfa, broccoli or sunflower sprouts

Directions:

Process all ingredients through the juicer.

    I was warned off eating or juicing raw cruciferous veg by a naturopath as they can possibly affect the thyroid. This seems rather extreme to me given the enormous benefits of eating these veg raw. Do you have any views on this?
